The Artist - Catherine

Catherine developed a life-changing interest in craftwork through her early career as an interior designer in Nigeria. “It was always difficult to find furniture and decor made in Nigeria that met the expectations of my clients and I. Most items that I used for staging always had to be imported.”

These experiences prompted the founding of KÖR-SIWÂ, an independent design house proving that furniture made in Nigeria can meet — and exceed — the standard of anything imported.

At Kör-siwâ, Catherine and the team are driven by the unified aim of beautifying people’s lives, internally and externally, through every piece they make.

African design should not be supported out of sentiment, but chosen because it is exceptional.

About KÖR-SIWÂ

Kör-siwâ, a Togolese name that means “Born on Sunday,” embodies the brand’s core value: to create pieces that bring glamour and tranquillity to our clients homes and spaces. We experiment with a wide range of materials to achieve a uniform and outstanding standard of excellence in every piece made by Kör-siwâ.

Every piece we make is sculpted by hand, and we embrace the distinctive outcomes of our production process. We refine each one until it becomes a collectible piece, ready for our customers in Nigeria and worldwide.

We are working towards becoming an independent production house where every step of our craft process is uniformly completed and processed in-house. This showcases our brand’s unwavering commitment to high-quality furniture and functional art, made for our customers in Nigeria and worldwide.
